AUGUST 2011 APPENDIX J SEMINAR
This newly updated seminar is an intense two-day course on Appendix J Leakage Rate Testing. The latest issues effecting both ILRT and LLRT Appendix J testing and their relationships to other plant programs, on-going risk based initiatives and the maintenance rule will all be addressed. This course demonstrates how to take maximum advantage of the time and cost savings allowed under Option B while maintaining an excellent program. Information presented is based upon lessons learned from industry experience since the introduction of Option B. The best practices from the industry leaders shall be presented and used as benchmarks. The 2002 revision to the ANS 56.8 standard as well as the new revision to NEI 94-01 and new draft of ANS 56.8, will be presented. The 5 year extension to the ten year Type A testing interval will also be discussed. This seminar provides the attendees with a solid basis in the technical and regulatory concepts that containment leakage rate testing is based up on. Program issues, equipment and calibration issues will all be addressed. Site -specific topics requested by the attendees will be discussed. |
